What is Ultrasound? Ultrasound is the sending of micro vibrations at a specific speed and to a certain depth into your skin, sometimes carrying with them creams or fluids that are previously applied onto the skin. Vibrations change into heat that applies an inflate/deflate action on fat cells, causing the release of fat. It also activates cellular metabolism that leads to the elimination of fat and toxins. Additionally, Ultrasound has therapeutic effects, such as enhancing muscle tone and relieving muscle and joint pain.
Ultrasound uses a hand piece that is usually a round shaped flat plate connected to a machine. The therapist massages your body with the hand piece using special gels or creams that improve the transmission of the Ultrasound.
How long does an Ultrasound treatment take? An Ultrasound treatment should not take mare than 15 minutes on the body and 10 minutes on the face.
What are the benefits of Ultrasound? Due to the heat the Ultrasound produces in the deep layers of skin, the treatment:
- Gives the relaxing sensation of a warm massage.
- Releases fat deposit from fat cells.
- Helps eliminate fat by increasing metabolism.
- Tightens the skin.
- Improves muscle performance.
What are the disadvantages of Ultrasound? - Ultrasound causes a heating sensation. You should inform your therapist if you feel any discomfort.
- It may cause fatigue in tissues if used over the attributed limit.
- You should have a lag of at least 5 hours between any two sessions.
